Travel Dilemma:
Every year thousands of people join a travel/vacation club in the hope of saving money for holidays and travel. They believe that by paying costs to a private club, they will know the information “inside” and have access to the discount travel option which in turn will save money. Travel clubs are not new, but their popularity increases. When the travel industry raises the price from year to year, consumers want to find a new option to pay for the vacation they want to take. In the current economy, only the elite is able to spend a week in a luxurious resort on the beach. We all take what we can get and use it.
How Discount Work:
Basically, this goes like this. The large travel industry company has millions of property they rent at retail prices to consumers (you and me). Most of them remain empty every week a year. So, after they get as many consumers as possible to pay the best dollar prices for as many rooms as possible, they then sell the rest of their “empty” rooms to get a discount broker. If you have ever shopped at Priceline, Kayak or Travelzoo, you might pay attention to the price less than what you will pay if you order through the actual property. This discount broker pays a certain price for property and then increases the price before they market it to the public. Consumers must pay more discount brokers than they get property to compensate for ad rankings, personnel management, and web rankings. So, while you can take some good offers through this discount broker, the option is generally limited and you still don’t get “stealing” that you might be looking for.
What is the difference between a travel club?
Unfortunately, some travel clubs acts like a discount broker. They will get a lot of property, mark and then offer them to their members. But, there are several travel clubs that travel discounts in a completely new way. Some of these elites will charge one time for a lifetime membership. As a member, you are then welcomed into the way you work in the company and get a travel transaction that you cannot get in an open market. A good travel club will never mark their property before they offer them to their members.
How to tell a good travel club from bad:
Of course, price is the biggest determining factor. You have to look for a travel club that has a “one -time combined fee” below $ 1,000. Avoid club clubs that charge reform costs. You may not pay maintenance costs, association fees, red week fees, main vacation weeks, or any fees. A good travel club will have thousands of properties available from large geographical areas …. maybe throughout the world. Make sure the club only brings high quality property. If the club offers property on Motel 6 or Howard Johnson, this is not an elite club. The best clubs will offer 3.4 & 5 star resorts and condominiums with prices that you are currently paying for 2 star hotel rooms. Be a voter, and expect great services at an affordable fee.
Some clubs do not advertise themselves at all. Club members advertise for them, who saves the company’s money they pass to members. One particular club allows members of his vacation club to become a club partner without additional fees. Many members choose to only take part in saving money for holidays, and enjoy the benefits of the club. However, others will choose to be partners and advertise for companies for the new sales commission. Thus, this special travel club has a very small operating cost that allows them to offer club membership at low prices without recurring fees or fees in any form.
So, is the club a good idea trip or not? As long as you register under a quality vacation club,
